I grew up on a family farm where will still had a real life outhouse. I mean we also had indoor plumbing, but the outhouse was there, and functional. Rotary phones were the norm.
When I was 8 my parents bought the highest technology home computer available at that time. A Tandy 1000TX. It had 16 color graphics, and a 5 1/4″ floppy drive. I mean we were on the cutting edge. None of my friends at school had a computer.
Today my smartphone has thousands of times the storage and power of that old PC. I am connected 24/7 to the largest compilation of human knowledge ever in history.
Technology has made so many leaps and bounds in 30 years, that it makes the entirety of history to this point seem like a foreign thing.
